EOI - Industry Supervisor (2 Positions)

 EOI Langi Kal Kal Supervisor, x 2 roles. Ideally we are looking for some-one trained or with relevant experience within Kitchen/ Metal background or Warehousing.

About the business unit

H.M. Prison Langi Kal Kal is a minimum-security men's protection prison located 140km west of Melbourne at Trawalla. The prison's primary purpose is the reintegration and preparedness of people in our care for transition to release. Langi Kal Kal is made up of 9 separate industries and service area: Farm, Horticulture, Landmate, Kitchen, Metal fabrication, Batch Powder Coat, Poultry, Textiles & Warehouse, where there is a strong focus on employment, training, and work readiness.

About this role

• Industry Supervisors are team leaders in the prison environment. The roles require leadership, maturity, sound judgement and confidence in decision making, with developed capabilities to coach, mentor and motivate staff and prisoners. With highly developed communication and negotiation skills, the Industry Supervisor leads and manages industry staff to achieve program and service outcomes in a multidisciplinary team and rehabilitative environment.
• In a vocational training environment, the Industry Supervisor will support Industry Officers to coach, mentor and motivate prisoners, placing emphasis on individual offender management practices with a view to upskill and train as positive rehabilitation outcomes.
• The successful candidate will have skills and experience with Metal / Textiles / Warehouse and demonstrated commitment to working with staff, prisoners and service providers in the delivery of an integrated, whole of Justice approach to reduce re-offending.

EOIs must be submitted by 11.59PM Sunday 4 January 2026 to be considered for this role.
