ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Education Programs Producer leads the development and delivery of learning experiences at the iconic Immigration Museum in Melbourne's CBD. The role supports all aspects of education programming for key audiences of F-12, international and tertiary students, including program development, the managing and training of facilitators and stakeholder engagement.

Some of the key duties include: 

  • Develop and manage the delivery of Humanities education programs at Immigration Museum
  • Provide pedagogical, curriculum and subject-matter expertise and guidance to internal and external stakeholders
  • Work collegiately with Education Programs Producers across all MV sites including Melbourne Museum and Scienceworks
  • Evaluate programs, monitor trends and identify opportunities to achieve the mission of Museums Victoria and support the goals of the Victorian Curriculum 2.0.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Post-graduate education qualifications and classroom teaching experience in The Humanities, or equivalent practice
  • An understanding of non-school based education, and relevant experience or a strong interest in the Cultural and Arts sector.
  • VIT registration or a Working With Children Check.


OTHER INFORMATION

This role is a part-time (0.8FTE) ongoing position. The salary on offer is VPS4.1 base of grade - $97,955 pro-rata per annum + 12% Superannuation.
