Job Description

About the opportunity
The PMO Analyst reports into the PMO Manager, supporting portfolio delivery and contributing to the maturity of project, program and portfolio management. The PMO Analyst will also support the Project Manager with key project delivery activities including co ordination, planning and reporting.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the daily operations and establishment of the Portfolio Management Office, including financial tracking, contract and procurement oversight.
- Preparing data and reports (governance, status and health, others as requested) with project managers, the PMO team and project stakeholders with an understanding of the different needs of each.
- Supporting ad-hoc and regular reporting cycles for the PMO governance forums through agenda and pack preparation, meeting minutes and calendar management.
- Contribute to the development and review of PMO processes and practices and identify opportunities for improved performance.
- Supporting project managers and delivery leads with reporting, financial and risk management.
- Establish a routine risk, issue, assumption and dependency tracking and reporting process working closely with key stakeholders.
- Other duties as required.
To be successful, you'll have:
- An understanding of project planning, benefits, budgeting, scheduling, risks and issues management, reporting tools and techniques.
- Highly developed analytical and conceptual skills, including the ability to recognise emerging issues of importance and identify the next steps or actions to take.
- Exposure to different delivery methodologies (e.g. agile, waterfall, hybrid).
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise summary documentation, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of individuals across all levels of the organisation.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and a demonstrated ability to problem solve, display flexibility and pragmatism.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office suite, including experience in the use of FinOps.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and professional certifications highly regarded.
- Previous government experience highly regarded (Desired)
