Role description
Dhelkaya Health is currently looking for a passionate and experienced Social Work Professional Lead to join our Community Services and Wellbeing team.
The role is responsible for profession-specific leadership and governance of the Social Work workforce within Dhelkaya Health, in addition to responsibilities for clinical care and program leadership.
You will work closely with the Chief Allied Health Officer, Program Managers and other relevant stakeholders across the organisation to ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical services by staff who are supported to perform their roles within an evidence-based framework.
You will maintain a clinical caseload and work as a Senior Clinician in the specialist area of the Older Person supporting continuity of care and navigation for the Older Person across Dhelkaya Health.
This role is primarily based at the Dhelkaya Health Castlemaine campus but may be required to work at alternative organisational sites as directed.
About you
- Minimum of 7 years' professional work experience including clinical experience working across practice areas and with the Older Person
- Demonstrated skills and capabilities required for discipline and program-based leadership in the context of health and community services
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of current discipline practice frameworks, and the key competencies and capabilities required for allied health roles
- Experience and understanding of contemporary issues impacting allied health professional practice
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively lead and maintain working relationships in a professional workplace and in clinical settings.
- Excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to operate and lead effectively within a clinical governance framework
- Experience in developing, delivering and evaluating innovative discipline-specific and multidisciplinary clinical programs
- Well established clinical skills, and demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development and lifelong learning.
- Experience supervising staff and demonstrated ability to develop the skills and capability of others
