About the Team
The Client Engagement Team is part of our Financial Administration team and works directly with clients across Victoria. Our team travels to meet with clients in person, building trust and understanding to improve the support they receive and ensure their financial plans reflect their current needs and wishes.
About the Role
As a Senior Client Engagement Consultant, you'll be the face of State Trustees for many of our clients. You'll travel across the region to visit clients in their homes or accommodation settings, ensuring their financial arrangements are up to date and aligned with their goals, preferences and wellbeing.
You'll work independently but with strong team support, and collaborate closely with clients, families, advocates and internal colleagues to make sure services are tailored and effective.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reassessing budgets and financial needs
- Confirming and documenting each client's current Will and preferences
- Making and implementing any changes to financial arrangements
- Supporting new clients through onboarding visits
- Representing State Trustees at VCAT, as required
- Participating in community education and mentoring other Consultants
- This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll need to think on your feet, build strong relationships, and bring a mix of professionalism, empathy and confidence to your work.
About you
You're a natural communicator who enjoys working directly with people. You're confident making decisions, calm under pressure, and bring a respectful and open-minded approach when dealing with people from diverse backgrounds.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Experience in a client-facing role (human services, community support, social work or similar)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to make sound decisions with care and professionalism
- Experience supporting people with disability, mental illness or complex needs
- Confidence working independently, managing your own schedule
- High level of attention to detail and admin accuracy
- A current Victorian driver's licence and access to a fully insured vehicle (kilometres reimbursed)
