Position Details
Advanced Child Protection Practitioner - Internal Advancement Process
As an outcome of the CPOM implementation substantive CPP3 employees will have the opportunity to demonstrate their suitability at the CPP4 level and have their substantive role uplifted.
To be eligible you must be a current, ongoing CPP3 employee who holds mandatory qualifications and can demonstrate that you have successfully been meeting your performance goals at a high standard as a Child Protection Practitioner.
Through this process you will be required to demonstrate the capabilities of a CPP4 through a written case study and a group activity. This assessment will be delivered online through an assessment centre.
As a part of this assessment, we will be seeking referee checks to confirm findings from the assessment centre and we recommend that you discuss your intent to apply with your current manager. Please note if you are still completing your probation period your Manager may be contacted to discuss the suitability of your application.
About the role
At the CPP4 level you will have the opportunity to drive your own cases, work with others, combining your qualifications, experience and expertise across the team portfolio.
You will operate with a higher degree of autonomy, leading the planning review and management of your own case load and you will competently work on cases of greater complexity.
Additionally, you will support and model collaborative practice with stakeholders and colleagues and provide support and guidance to students and colleagues with less experience, where applicable.

Subject to meeting eligibility criteria, you will be invited to attend an online assessment centre where you will complete three assessments being a case review activity, group activity and individual written activity. The assessments have been specifically designed with the CPP4 capabilities in mind and discuss scenarios you might face at this level.
The assessment centre will take place on the Topscore assessment centre platform on the date below:
