At the Workplace Injury Commission (WIC), we've helped thousands of injured workers and employers to resolve their disputes and move forward with their lives. We're a robust Victorian Government statutory authority that's making an impact.
As we continue an exciting transformation journey, we need you to join us as a Senior BI Developer. In this role, you'll support our migration from a legacy on-premises Case Management System to a SaaS solution. This role will be instrumental in ensuring data integrity, building robust reporting solutions, and establishing best practices for business intelligence implementation that can be adopted by the internal team.
Equipped with proven experience in data migration projects you will lead and execute data migration activities including data extraction, data transformation and cleansing, development and execution of ETL scripts etc. Harnessing your expertise, you will design and implement Power BI dashboards in addition to establishing and documenting best practices for BI Solution development.
You will possess a track record of delivering business intelligence solutions and will help contribute to improving WIC's service.
Who we're looking for:
In addition to your proven experience in data migration projects and Power BI Dashboards, to succeed in this role, you will have:
- Strong proficiency in the Microsoft BI stack:
○ SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Azure Data Factory
○ Power BI (including DAX and data modelling)
○ Fabric
- Expertise in dimensional modelling and STAR schema design
- Experience building dashboard from SSAS cubes and relational sources
- Ability to define and implement BI development standards and practices
- Demonstrated capability in providing coaching and advice to support and develop others
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability communicate at all levels both internally with staff and manager, and external agencies on both technical and non-technical matters.
