About the role
Join ACMI's Exhibitions AV team as a casual Daily Operations Technician. Our Daily Operations Technicians deliver technical support ensuring the reliable performance of exhibitions technical systems across ACMI's galleries. The role includes daily operations functions such as power up, testing, shutdown of exhibition technology at the start/finish of each day and providing timely response to technical issues. This is a diverse technical hands on role that works as part of a team to deliver timely technical support.
What you'll bring to the role
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience providing technical support within the creative industries sector or similar.
- Demonstrated experience with moving image technology including projection, gaming, audio, and lighting. Knowledge of web, mobile and interactive production including streaming and video conference technologies combined with experience in virtual reality technologies.
- Knowledge of various AV and ICT control systems, with a particular focus on Nodel, Balena and Dynalite. This includes experience with Node creation and deployment.
- Skills in networking, computer administration, and user administration with analytical and problem-solving skills. Windows and Mac proficiency.
- Proactive and flexible approach to providing support with the capacity to manage competing priorities. Good written/ verbal communication skills and time management with the ability to work collaboratively.

- This Grade 2.2 role is offered on a casual basis with an hourly rate of $44.18 (includes casual loading) plus relevant penalties and super. ACMI is looking for flexible team members who are available to work weekdays, weekends and/or evenings.
