About the role:
The UPI Senior Operations Coordinator will perform the daily operations of the Unique Patient Identification (UPI) solution at the department in close collaboration with health services' stakeholders under the direction of the UPI Data Steward Manager. Daily operations will include review and actioning of data quality reports, resolution of workflow items from within the solution, investigation and resolution of inter health service data quality exceptions, provision of advice, guidance and support to users of the service to ensure information within the solution supports health service needs.

About you:
To be successful in this role you require the following skills
- Systems Thinking - Diagnoses trends, obstacles and opportunities in the internal and external environment; understands the linkages between natural systems and communities to inform policy; conceptualises and defines the systems working within the organisation.
- Advanced Computer Skills - Uses a wide range of software application features such as word processing and spreadsheets; assists others with problem-solving on word processing and related applications.
- Planning and Organisation - Sets clearly defined objectives and priorities and operates accordingly, reviewing and adjusting as required; identifies processes, tasks and resources required to achieve a goal; establishes systems and procedures to guide work and track progress; recognises actual and potential barriers and finds effective ways to deal with them.
Experience/Qualifications:
- A tertiary qualification in Health Information Management (HIM), Information Systems or similar discipline is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Master Patient Index systems and integration with critical systems is desirable.
- Previous experience coordinating health information systems within multi-site services within a health or related area is advantageous.
- Fluent in data trends and able to manage large databases of information including data modelling, data mapping and data validation.
