Position Details
The Director Enrolments, Assessments and Results leads the delivery, review and quality assurance of a range of key VCAA assessment programs and associated processes. To undertake this role, the Director will have strong project management skills and experience in leading multi-functional delivery teams to successfully achieve outcomes for the community to fixed timeframes.
The Director Enrolments, Assessments and Results will provide operational oversight in leading the delivery of assessments, with a focus on continued improvements and strengthening of processes. The Director will demonstrate strong stakeholder management and build key relationship across jurisdictions, sectors and within the VCAA.
The Director reports to the Executive Director, Assessments. This role is a key member the VCAA's leadership team and is expected to contribute to whole-of-organisation leadership.
The Director will be accountable for leading the overall delivery management of assessments within specified guidelines and policies. The Director Enrolments, Assessment and Results is expected to:
- Oversee the delivery and implementation of key assessment programs, including NAPLAN, VCE external assessments including the General Achievement Test (GAT) and the VCAA Special Provision policy and procedures
- Manage, review, implement and oversee processes associated with school administration including student registration, enrolment and results data collection, final results calculation and certification.
- Lead the implementation of improvements aligned with the recommendations of various reviews and feedback from the independent monitor.
- Lead the operationalisation of the VCAA Strategic Plan and contributes to a positive and high-performing team culture, while maintaining a strong focus on quality assurance, project delivery, and continuous improvement
- Manage a broad spectrum of relationships and partnerships within a highly complex multi-stakeholder environment and building the capability and capacity of others to manage these relationships
- Contribute to the overall success of the VCAA's work, going beyond their own functions to support their staff, colleagues and our Board
