The impact you'll have:
At the Workplace Injury Commission, we've helped thousands of injured workers and employers to resolve their disputes and move forward with their lives. We're a robust Victorian Government statutory authority that's making an impact.
As a Technical Business Analyst in our Corporate Services team, you'll play a key role in shaping and enhancing the organisation's core business systems. Partnering closely with our IT Enterprise Systems Specialist, you'll help ensure our technology solutions are fit for purpose, aligned to business needs, and delivering meaningful improvements.
A major focus of this role is our SaaS Case Management platform, which is central to the delivery of our dispute resolution services. You'll lead requirements gathering, process mapping, and the development of user stories to support system configuration and ongoing enhancements. You'll also contribute to release testing, validating new functionality, and ensuring updates support operational efficiency, compliance, and overall business goals.
Additionally, you'll draw on your knowledge of Microsoft 365 to identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation. Your insights will help streamline workflows, strengthen collaboration, and drive continuous improvement across the organisation.
Who we're looking for:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience as a Business/Technical Business Analyst in technology‑driven projects
- Proficiency with Agile delivery tools (i.e. Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, etc.) for backlog management, documentation, sprint planning and traceability.
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical and conceptual skills; able to translate complex business needs into clear, testable requirements.
- Proven ability to communicate thoughtfully and effectively through workshops, meetings, presentations, and documentation with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, user story creation and acceptance criteria, business process mapping, wireframing, UAT, defect management, and release readiness.
- Experience assisting with requirements and testing for SaaS applications, preferably in case management or similar workflow‑centric systems.
