Role description
Dhelkaya Health is seeking a motivated and reliable team member to join our Linen Services team, supporting both the Castlemaine Health and Maldon Hospital campuses. This hands-on role involves a variety of laundry-related tasks and plays a key part in ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laundry duties at both Castlemaine and Maldon sites, following established schedules, procedures, and follow direction.
- Assist in resolving linen service-related issues and corrective action requests in a timely and effective manner.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet service goals and quality standards.
- Proactively report any safety concerns or incidents in the workplace.
- Identify and contribute to solutions for challenges within your area of responsibility.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service to meet the needs of residents and healthcare staff.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and hang residents' personal clothing as required.
- Prepare and stock linen trolleys for use across both campuses, departments and wards
- Deliver linen and personal clothing to designated areas using designated vehicles (laundry truck and tugs).
- Accurately complete and maintain impress sheets and stock forms.
- Participate in regular stock and cleaning audits as directed.
- Complete all mandatory training and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Support the Linen Services team through practical assistance and oversight of daily operations where needed.
