Position Details

 

An exciting opportunity exists for a Specialist Trainer, Building to join a dedicated Inspectorate team in this fixed term opportunity until 30 June 2027. 

The Specialist Trainer, Building is responsible for delivering high-quality training, assessment, and educational support for building team members across the Inspectorate. This role aims to enhance hands-on skills, theoretical knowledge, and safety awareness in building, ensuring that industry standards and workplace expectations are met.  

The Specialist Trainer will also work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to align training with current building practices and technologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the training programs. 

What we are looking for:  

  • Current Victorian registration as a Building Inspector (unlimited) held for a minimum of 5 years. 
  • Understanding of record management systems and digital training platforms, such as learning management systems (LMS), to support effective training delivery and administrative functions 
  • Current Victorian registration as a Building Surveyor a minimum of 5 years. All classes of building, unlimited height and floor area. specializing in Class 2 and 3 Buildings is highly desirable 
  • Prior experience in delivering training and assessment in vocational education is high desirable
