Managing Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (Property)

• Part time (0.8FTE) maximum term position up to 30 June 2028
• Salary range: $131,154 - $155,000 plus super
• Up to $15,900 in salary packaging, flexible hybrid work arrangement

About the role
This role will continue to build the Family Dispute Resolution Service's in-house property mediation practice and oversee property mediation service design, development, delivery and evaluation to meet client need and family law and policy objectives. It includes facilitating conferences, delivering professional education in family dispute resolution (FDR) with a focus on property, and undertaking policy and project activities.

This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.

About you
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

• Accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.
• Proven people management skills and leadership capability.
• Experience in facilitating complex FDR conferences involving families from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds, with a specialist focus on property, spousal, partner and adult child maintenance cases, with the ability to undertake parenting mediations as required.
• Specialised knowledge of mediation techniques and models, family law (with a focus on property law).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
