- Salary Range: $144,913.60 - $147,664.40 pro rata, plus superannuation
About the role
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and skilled nurse practitioner to join our emergency department team. The ideal candidate is dynamic, fast thinking and compassionate provider with experience in emergency care. As a critical member of our department you will provide advanced nursing care, manage patient assessments, treat and diagnose patients in our Fast track model of care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct through physical assessments and obtain comprehensive medical histories from patients in the emergency department.
- Diagnose and manage patients working within the Fats Track model of care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the Emergency department team.
- Maintain up to date accurate medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide patient education and referrals.
What you bring
- A Registered Nurse holding a current Registration Certificate as required by AHPRA
- A Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia (NMBA) -approved qualification enabling endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner
- Evidence of advanced clinical skills and knowledge in emergency nursing, interpersonal skills and ability to practice as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrate an understanding of evaluative processes including accurate record keeping and data management skills
- Demonstrated commitment to involvement in research relating to Emergency Medicine and Care
