About the Role:
South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking casual Catering Services Assistants to join our dedicated Food Services team at the Camperdown Campus, including Leura Aged Care facility.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone wanting casual, flexible work hours while making a valuable contribution to patient care and wellbeing. Whether you're gaining experience in health services or balancing other commitments, this role offers the chance to be part of a high-performing, friendly team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the delivery and collection of meals and fluid jugs to patients
- Transporting food trolleys and stocking ward areas
- Cleaning and sanitising food service equipment and areas
- Preparing side items for meal trays (e.g. fruit, milk, cutlery)
- Assisting in the café and coffee shop, including making espresso-style drinks
- Ensuring customer and patient areas are clean and welcoming
- Supporting stock and equipment management by notifying supervisors of needs or issues
Position Overview
- Employment Type: Casual Positions available
- Location: Camperdown Campus
- Classification: Food and Domestic Assistant Grade 2
- Salary Range: $33+ per hour, plus superannuation
What you will bring
- Availability and flexibility to work a range of shifts on a casual basis
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- A positive, can-do attitude with a focus on customer service
- Basic food safety training (HLTFSE001 or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
