About this role
Two exciting development opportunities exist to join the Employee Investigations (EI) team, Employee and Workplace Relations (EWR) as a Senior Investigator (VPS Grade 5). EI has two temporary Senior Investigator positions for a six-month period commencing as soon as possible until 7 September 2026.
The roles are based at Level 15, 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne, with the ability to request flexible/hybrid work arrangements in line with departmental policy. The office-based anchor day for the EI team is Thursday of each week.
About the Senior Investigator Employee Investigations
The Senior Investigator, EOI is responsible conducting complex and sensitive misconduct and reportable conduct investigations across DJCS. The role also involves providing high level authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders in written and verbal forms, including providing advice to executives, employees, legal and union representatives and other government departments.

We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in conducting sensitive, complex and trauma informed misconduct investigation, preferably within the VPS in accordance with Clause 27 of the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement 2024.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Has the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Can make a valuable contribution to the broader EWR business unit.
