About the Business Unit:
Courts, Civil and Criminal Law (CCCL) supports the Attorney-General and Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) ministers to deliver criminal and civil law policy responsibilities by providing legal, policy, integrity and assurance expertise to the DJCS and Justice Ministers. We work collaboratively with key entities across the justice system and the department to ensure policy reform. is strategic, relevant, holistic and people centred.
About the Role:
Ongoing opportunity to contribute to the delivery of strategic justice system policy reform.s, including policy advice and strategic projects relating to the courts finance and key entities across the justice system.
Some of your duties will include:
- Contributing to the development and implementation of policy proposals, programs and initiatives within the Attorney-General's reform. program.
- Researching, analysing, preparing, and presenting high-quality written materials including clear and concise reports, briefings, and presentations on operational policy and program issues, options, and other matters.
- Supporting the development, costing and analysis of budget submissions and outcomes.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Strong writing and research skills with the ability to assist with the preparation of policy materials.
- Knowledge, skills and experience in either policy development or implementation.
- Knowledge of, and experience with, Victorian Government policy documents and processes would be highly favourable.
- Experience with and or/knowledge of the Victorian courts and tribunal system would be advantageous.
