- Salary Range: $78,977.60 - $91,785.20 pro rata, plus superannuation
About the role
South West Healthcare is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to provide patient‑centred medication management within our Mental Health Acute Inpatient Unit (MHAIU). In this role, you will support safe and effective use of medicines, deliver clinical pharmacy services, and provide evidence‑based advice to patients, carers and healthcare professionals.
You will work closely with the broader pharmacy department and the inter‑professional mental health team to optimise medication outcomes and ensure high‑quality, recovery‑focused care. While the role is primarily based in the MHAIU, you may also contribute to wider pharmacy services as needed.
What you bring
- General registration as a Pharmacist by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with no restrictions to practice.
- Demonstrated competence in clinical drug knowledge and demonstrated commitment to professional development
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise own workload and workloads for others, in accordance with challenging and dynamic deadlines.
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels including with patients/carers, team members, multidisciplinary colleagues and external health services and providers in a structured, logical, organised manner to establish and maintain effective relationships.
