About the role
In this newly created role as a Learning Specialist, you will design and deliver training that helps Legal Help staff provide high-quality legal information to the community. This includes induction for new starters and ongoing learning and coaching for existing staff.
You will work closely with team leaders and subject matter experts to understand learning needs, develop practical and engaging training, and support staff to build legal knowledge, communication skills and culturally safe practice. You will also review and improve learning programs to ensure they stay relevant, inclusive and effective.
This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Experience designing and delivering training or learning programs.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills.
- The ability to make complex information simple and easy to understand.
- Experience working with diverse communities and a commitment to cultural safety and inclusion.
- The ability to work closely with leaders and stakeholders to support staff development.
- A relevant qualification in adult learning, education or similar (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in designing and implementing learning program within a legal setting would be highly favourable.
