- Salary Range: $108,820.40 - $123,905.60 pro rata, plus superannuation
About the role
South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking a pharmacist to join our team as a Senior Clinical Pharmacist, providing clinical leadership across key clinical areas, including inpatient units and the Emergency Department.
In this role, you will lead and support a team of pharmacists by ensuring they receive appropriate supervision, professional guidance and clear escalation pathways. You will oversee day‑to‑day clinical pharmacy activities, contributing to the delivery of safe, personal and effective patient care.
You will also play a vital role in developing capability within the pharmacy service by providing training, orientation and ongoing clinical support to pharmacists, interns and undergraduate students working within your areas of responsibility.
What you bring
- Full AHPRA registration with no restrictions, and a minimum of 8 years' pharmacy registration in Australia.
- Extensive clinical pharmacy knowledge with previous exposure to a broad range of hospital pharmacy services.
- Strong leadership capability, including demonstrated ability to supervise and support a team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with colleagues, clinicians and managers.
- Well‑developed organisational and time management skills, with a proactive, flexible and resilient approach to work.
- Ability to work autonomously, use initiative and maintain a high attention to detail.
- Commitment to quality improvement, including familiarity with National Standards and accreditation requirements.
- Strong collaboration skills, enabling effective contribution within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience providing education and support to interns, undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- A customer‑focused approach and the ability to implement change collaboratively.
