About the role:
The Social Media Content Producer contributes to the development of high-quality creative content across Department of Health social media channels to support the social media strategy and the department's communication requirements.
This role will identify positive, innovative content opportunities for provision across social media platforms, both proactively and in response to content briefs. They will create and coordinate engaging and relevant content to extend storytelling and key messaging across channels; provide advice and input into the social execution of departmental campaigns and priorities, and champion best practice, creativity and connectivity within the department's social communities.
The Social Media Content Producer will work closely with Branch colleagues, Ministerial Offices and relevant business areas of the department and will use creative content to share timely advice and announcements, as well as telling stories that demonstrate the benefits of government policies and initiatives.

About you:
Can you demonstrate the following?
- Plan, write, design and produce engaging visual and written social content for use across all departmental social media channels. This includes graphics/tiles, basic animation and short-form copy.
- Proactively identify positive messaging and story opportunities for provision across social media platforms, as well as when responding to strategic and tactical content briefs.
- Ensure that day-to-day deliverables, ways of working and recommendations fully support the implementation of the social media strategy, channel planning and the ongoing development of rich media content across the department's social media channels.
- Present recommendations, creative concepts and results to both internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating the impact/potential impact of this role's work to the department's ability to deliver effective support and services.
- Contribute to Branch strategy and services activity, monitor performance and advocate best practice planning and execution that aligns resources to strategic priorities.
