Role description
We are seeking a skilled and organised Cook to oversee the smooth daily operation of kitchen services within our health service. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient preparation, production, and delivery of meals while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth operation of all kitchen functions
- Prepare, produce, and plate patient and resident meals
- Coordinate and assist with meal delivery, including Meals on Wheels
- Support catering for functions and meetings
- Maintain cleaning standards within the kitchen, including equipment and work areas
- Manage food production, stock control, and ordering
- Monitor and record daily schedules and food temperatures in line with food safety requirements
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and organisational policies
Additional Duties
- Undertake other associated duties as directed by the Support Services Team Leader.
