About the role
In this role you will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative support to the Private Practitioner Short Legal Services team within Grants and Quality Assurance (GQA), as required.
Duties will include, but are not limited to;
- Maintaining and updating schedules, registers and databases to ensure information is accurate, current and compliant with relevant policies and procedures
- Managing electronic and paper filing of panel practitioner files and documentation in accordance with security and local operating requirements
- Providing accurate written and verbal information to legal practitioners regarding the Private Practitioner Short Service Scheme
- Preparing materials for practitioner assessments, including seeking additional information to support applications and internal management actions.
In addition, you will be required to triage emails and telephone enquiries, manage correspondence, schedule meetings and appointments, and undertake a range of data entry, record keeping and document management tasks.
This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Demonstrated skills to provide administrative support including excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads, meet timelines and work under pressure.
- General knowledge of the law, legal systems and legal procedures, or experience working in a legal environment (highly desirable).
- Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision and manage own work priorities within a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
- Experience and/or interest in working in a role that handles a high volume of wide-ranging enquiries and an ability to think laterally and problem solve.
