- Salary Range: $111,930.00 pro rata, plus superannuation
About the role
The Movement Disorder Nurse plays a vital role in improving the lives of people living with complex neurological conditions such as Parkinson's Disease, Multiple System Atrophy, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, and Corticobasal Degeneration across the South West region of Victoria.
By delivering specialised, accessible care close to home, the Movement Disorder Nurse empowers individuals and their families to navigate their condition with greater confidence and control. Through education, personalised support, and compassionate guidance, the nurse helps people build the skills they need to manage symptoms, maintain independence, and enhance their quality of life.
What You Bring
You are a committed and compassionate Registered Nurse who is highly client‑focused and values professional confidentiality. You bring strong clinical judgement and thrive in complex, community‑based environments.
Key requirements include:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Minimum of five years' post‑graduate nursing experience
- Post‑graduate qualification in Parkinson's or Movement Disorder care (desirable)
- Experience working in a community health setting
- A flexible, outcome‑focused approach centred on individual client needs
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise, problem‑solve, and manage a demanding workload
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence
- Relevant post‑graduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
Mandatory checks:
- Current Working with Children Check
- Satisfactory National Police Records Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
