- Salary Range: $124,368.40 pro rata, plus superannuation
About the role
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) plays a key role in shaping excellence in perioperative nursing at South West Healthcare. This rewarding position combines hands-on clinical education with leadership in evidence-based practice, supporting nurses to deliver safe, high-quality care across operating theatres, recovery, day surgery and procedural areas. The CNE contributes to a strong learning culture, supports professional growth, and influences clinical capability across the organisation, working within a progressive Best Practice Clinical Learning Environment.
What you bring
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no conditions).
- Postgraduate qualification in perioperative nursing with at least 5 years' perioperative experience and demonstrated advanced clinical skills and application of evidence-based practice.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or higher qualification in adult/clinical education (or willingness to complete within 18 months).
- Experience designing, delivering and evaluating education programs tailored to diverse learners.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, competency-based assessment and contemporary education delivery methods (e.g. simulation, eLearning, blended learning).
- Highly developed communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (Totara/Androgogic/GROW desirable).
- Advanced digital literacy and strong Microsoft Office skills.
