Position Title: Home Share Coordinator

Salary per hour: $50.71 + superannuation + generous salary packaging options
Employment Type: Ongoing part-time 48 hours per fortnight
Award: Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise agreement 2021-2026
Role description
Home share Mount Alexander (HMA) is part of a national and international Home share network that delivers innovative, community‑based housing solutions. Home share creates mutually beneficial arrangements where a Home provider offers affordable accommodation in exchange for agreed practical support from a Home seeker, fostering connection, independence, and community participation.
We are seeking an experienced and values‑driven Coordinator – Home share Mount Alexander to lead the implementation, management, and growth of the Home share program within the Mount Alexander Shire.
Using a strength‑based and empowerment‑focused approach, the coordinator is responsible for the delivery, promotion, evaluation, and day‑to‑day management of Home share Mount Alexander. This is a hands‑on role that combines coordination, case management, stakeholder engagement, and direct client support.
The position works closely with Home providers, Home seekers, partner organisations, and community stakeholders to ensure safe, sustainable, and person‑centred Home share arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, coordinate, promote, and evaluate the Home share Mount Alexander program
- Manage day‑to‑day service administration and program operations
- Provide direct service delivery to program participants
- Deliver high‑quality case management and case coordination
- Provide crisis intervention, advocacy, information, and support to people at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness
- Match Home providers and Home seekers and manage ongoing relationships and agreements
- Uphold participant rights and person‑centred practice in all service delivery
- Build strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Support community building and social connection outcomes
- Monitor program quality, outcomes, and continuous improvement
About you
- A Social Work Degree or related qualification in Community Development.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in community development and cross-sectoral collaboration.
- Current Victorian Driver's License
- WWCC
