What you will do
As inspector – regional, you will inspect liquor venues and help enforce Victoria's liquor laws.
You will work across regional communities to reduce alcohol-related harm and support safe licensed venues.
You will:
- conduct thorough inspections and investigations across licensed venues
- prepare clear reports, briefs and recommendations for compliance and enforcement action
- identify potential risks and work with licensees to reduce harm
- manage complaints and resolve complex operational issues promptly
- support fair enforcement decisions using sound judgement and departmental procedures.
About you
You should hold a Victorian driver licence or equivalent. Qualifications in management, law, enforcement, audit or government investigations are desirable, along with experience in regulatory operations.
You should also have:
- experience in a compliance or regulatory role
- strong investigation and report writing skills
- the ability to solve complex problems and make sound decisions
- clear communication skills and a collaborative approach.
