ABOUT THE POSITION:
As a Learning Facilitator, Road to Zero, you will deliver world-leading road safety education programs that create engaging and high-quality learning experiences for secondary school students, teachers and community audiences. Using contemporary visual and digital technologies, you will facilitate curriculum-aligned and wellbeing-focused programs onsite at Road to Zero at Melbourne Museum and through the Road Smart Interactive metropolitan and regional outreach program, supporting TAC's mission of road safety education and contributing to Museums Victoria's audience experience.
Some of the key duties include:
- Deliver engaging road safety education programs and activities to secondary school students, teachers, stakeholders and general audiences onsite and through regional outreach programs.
- Travel regularly throughout metropolitan and regional Victoria to facilitate Road Smart Interactive programs.
- Use contemporary digital technologies, including touch tables, tablets and VR, to create immersive learning experiences and undertake basic troubleshooting when required.
- Set up, pack down and maintain program materials, equipment and pop-up exhibition elements.
- Work collaboratively with Road to Zero staff, Museums Victoria teams and TAC stakeholders to support the successful delivery of programs and audience experiences.
The successful applicant will have:
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse secondary school audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and deliver Victorian Curriculum content, particularly in science, health and wellbeing.
- Experience using and independently operating digital interactive technologies in educational or public engagement settings.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within teams while also managing work effectively with minimal supervision.
- A current Victorian Driver Licence and willingness to travel regularly across metropolitan and regional Victoria.
OTHER INFORMATION
Multiple opportunities are available, including irregular part-time (0.4 FTE) fixed-term until 31 December 2028, and casual positions. The salary on offer for irregular part-time roles is VPS2.2 Base salary of $72,189 per annum (pro rata) plus 12% superannuation.
The successful applicant is required to undergo a National Police Records Check and Working with Children Check and be assessed as suitable (new employees are required to meet this cost).
