About this role

• Fixed term, part-time role earning $81,496 - $98,955 per year, plus super.

What you will do

As project and policy officer, you will support legal policy and legislative reform projects across a range of priority areas.

You will work on policy, project and administrative tasks while building your knowledge of government processes.

You will:

• assist with the development and delivery of legislation, regulations and parliamentary materials
• support project planning, delivery and monitoring to meet deadlines and objectives
• prepare evidence-based reports, briefings, papers and presentations for decision-makers
• develop subject matter knowledge to support reform and government priority projects
• maintain accurate records, identify risks and contribute across a range of policy projects.

About you

A tertiary qualification is not required. Qualifications in law, public policy or a related field are desirable.

You should also have:

• knowledge of or experience in law or policy development
• strong organisational and communication skills
• the ability to work collaboratively, adapt to change and support others
• experience with Victorian Government processes or project delivery would be advantageous.
