Job Description
South West Healthcare is seeking a Specialist Opthalmologist to join our expert medical team at the Warrnambool campus. Working alongside fellow Specialists, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality specialist care to communities across south west Victoria.
As the region's leading clinical and specialist referral centre, South West Healthcare continues to expand its services. This role focuses on clinical care while offering opportunities for teaching and research in partnership with Deakin University's Rural Clinical School.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care through ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and supervision of junior doctors.
- Lead evidence-based practice improvements and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and guideline development.
- Contribute to education and research in partnership with Deakin University.
Position Overview
- Appointments up to full time.

What You Bring
- AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner.
- Extensive experience and specialist training in Opthalmology.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Opthalmologists (RANZCO) or equivalent specialist qualifications.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring medical students, junior doctors, and allied health staff.
- Interest in research and academic collaboration.
