About the role:
This role is a fixed term, full time role till 30 June 2028.
The Senior Program Advisor, working within a team reporting to the Manager, Public Sector Residential Aged Care Services (PSRACS) Commissioning and Governance, is responsible for the delivery of a range of complex priority projects and program management in relation to PSRACS compliance and occupancy, quality indicator data, funding and commissioning of services. The role will also coordinate and lead responses to new and emerging issues and risks relating to PSRACS performance and governance.
The role involves developing effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, and incorporates quality improvement, financial management, policy development and change management. The role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment that requires systems thinking, excellent communication skills and a drive to improve outcomes for older people living in residential aged care.
Well-developed analytical and conceptual skills, data analysis and reporting, relationship management and the ability to manage tight deadlines are critical to the role.

About you:
- Provide high quality policy advice, options and recommendations to senior management and government based on comprehensive research and analysis.
- Work across multiple projects, including engaging with stakeholders, and working in multidisciplinary teams to meet emerging pressures and demands, as required.
- Coordinate and develop complex briefing products for Cabinet, Ministerial, senior departmental executive and executive sector stakeholders.
- Negotiate with stakeholders and peers with the object of gaining co-operation and meeting timelines for delivery of project, service or advice.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
Qualifications/Specialist Expertise
- A tertiary qualification in fields related to health, public policy, business and/or management is desirable.

Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in managing and supporting ministerial, cabinet, parliamentary and departmental executive functions and processes would be desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in aged care or disability sectors in Victoria and/or the Commonwealth would be advantageous.
