About the role:
The Manager, Planned Care Accountability, will lead the Planned Care Accountability team working with a growing number ESIS reporting health services to improve overall system accountability through partnership, support and intervention aligned with the planned surgery accountability frameworks, policies and guidelines. This is supported by data analysis to better understand waitlist composition, service impacts and inform performance decisions.
Demonstrating relevant experience and expertise in providing leadership, robust project management and monitoring, and stakeholder engagement, this role will have the opportunity to lead work with public health services to implement programs that support additional planned surgery activity. The team has established collaborative partnerships with health services and works with Local Health Service Networks to identify opportunities for coordinating and expanding planned surgery activity.

Can you demonstrate the following?
- A high performing team leader possessing strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills?
- Able to offer specialist skills in data analytics, health systems, stakeholder consultation, policy design, or program implementation?
- A proactive self-starter with a strong understanding of government processes and an ability to oversee work in a sensitive and fast-paced environment?
- Provide high quality business intelligence, authoritative advice and sound policy recommendations to senior management and government based on comprehensive research?
- Ensure the timely delivery of program projects and priorities, whilst maintaining oversight of key aspects such as funding and governance?
- Provide timely expert advice and develop open and effective communication strategies including collection of highly complex, contentious or sensitive information on matters of staff or business?
Qualifiations / Specialist Expertise
- A tertiary qualification in fields related to health, public policy, business and/or management, data analytics, or health administration would be desirable.
- Knowledge and experience in government, health sector and/or health service delivery would be desirable, with skills and experience in health system performance, Victorian health system datasets and, project management and implementation.
