About the role
South West Healthcare (SWH) has an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Rheumatologist to join our dedicated Rheumatology team and work collaboratively with a network of Warrnambool based specialists.
We are seeking a positive, enthusiastic and team oriented Specialist Rheumatologist who is committed to delivering high quality, patient-centred care with a primary focus on providing specialist rheumatology clinical services within our established public inpatient and outpatient programs.
Beyond clinical practice, this position offers the opportunity to contribute to teaching and academic activities through our strong partnership with the onsite Deakin University Rural Clinical School. You will also have access to research opportunities and the chance to help shape rheumatology services in a growing regional health service.
What you bring
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with AHPRA and the Medical Board of Australia.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), or equivalent specialist qualifications recognised in Australia.
- Demonstrated expertise in Rheumatology and a commitment to delivering high quality, patient centred care.
- Strong clinical, communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Experience in, or enthusiasm for, medical education, mentoring, research and service development.
- A commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of children, young people and families across our region.
