- Employment Type: Full Time, Fixed term position (80 hours per fortnight) with monthly ADO
- Duration: 12 month fixed term appointment
- Location: Negotiable with successful applicant with travel across Network sites required

About the Role
The South West Local Health Services Network (SW LHSN) is seeking a motivated and experienced professional to lead a significant regional reform initiative aimed at improving planned surgery processes and patient access across South West Victoria.
This newly established 12-month project role offers an exciting opportunity to work across multiple health services, bringing together clinicians, managers, digital health teams and executives to deliver meaningful and sustainable improvements in planned surgery management.

What You will Be Doing
The Planned Surgery Reform Lead will work closely with participating health services across the South West Local Health Services Network to support a coordinated and consistent approach to planned surgery management. Over the 12-month project, you will:
- Lead the implementation of standardised planned surgery documentation across participating organisations.
- Support health services in preparing for and progressing towards shadow ESIS reporting.
- Plan and facilitate implementation of the VicKey portal to enable the secure and consistent transfer of surgical information.
- Build strong partnerships and engage stakeholders across clinical, operational, digital and executive teams.
- Support the adoption of new processes, systems and ways of working across the Network.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and opportunities, and support achievement of key project milestones.
- Promote sustainable change through collaboration, communication and continuous improvement.
What you will bring
You are an experienced healthcare professional with expertise in planned surgery, perioperative services and leading change. You will bring:
- Tertiary nursing qualifications with postgraduate surgery and/or perioperative experience.
- Strong understanding of planned surgery governance, workflows, and documentation within public health.
- Strong digital literacy, experience with TRAK, reporting, data requirements and clinical information systems.
- Proven ability to lead change, engage stakeholders and implement sustainable improvements.
- Strong communication, collaboration and project management skills.
- Proven change management experience and the ability to deliver on agreed outcomes in complex environments.
