About this role
About the Role:
The Assistant Building Auditor supports the delivery of technical expertise in inspecting, assessing, auditing, and reporting on building issues for BPC's Building Audit function. Reporting to the Team Leader, the role ensures audits are conducted with technical accuracy.
It also monitors the quality and compliance of building practitioners in Victoria against the Building Act, Regulations, and National Construction Code, identifies systemic risks, and recommends interventions to strengthen the regulatory system and enhance BPC's effectiveness.
What we are looking for:
- Support delivery of the Building Audit Program, including site selection, triage, records management, and assisting with audits, plan checks, and inspections in line with legislative requirements.
- Analyse and report on technical and operational data, prepare detailed audit reports, and maintain accurate records, systems, and documentation to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
- Provide technical advice, conduct assessments and site inspections, and recommend appropriate actions while ensuring compliance with building legislation, regulations, and codes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, projects, and knowledge sharing by enhancing procedures and processes, maintaining up-to-date expertise, and supporting team and stakeholder engagement
