Job Description
South West Healthcare (SWH) is the major acute referral site for the South West Region, has a Deakin Clinical School onsite and is the largest employer in the region. We can offer an outstanding career opportunity as a Consultant Geriatrician.
About the role
We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic, team-orientated Consultant Geriatrician who is able to provide high quality clinical and non-clinical service to the benefit of South West Healthcare patients and our regional community.
Working within our existing inpatient services, Cognitive Dementia and Memory clinic (CDAMS), Specialist Falls and Balance clinic and GEM@home program, there is also an opportunity for the successful applicant to develop further Geriatric outpatient clinics.
The position is a full time permanent position.
What you bring
- You will have a recognised post graduate qualification in Geriatric Medicine and hold a current Registration Certificate as required by the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia.
- The ability and drive to contribute to the service development is an important component of the role.
- A commitment or interest in research and education would be desirable.
