- Salary Range: $77,426.44 - $85,597.72 pro rata, plus superannuation
About the role
Are you passionate about upholding privacy, legislation, and confidentiality?
South West Healthcare is looking for an experienced Freedom of Information (FOI) Officer to help guide and support staff, management, and the public through FOI processes and requirements. In this key role, you will collaborate within our dedicated Health Information Services team, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies on patient information release.
What you bring
- The successful applicant will demonstrate strong knowledge of Freedom of Information (FOI) legislation and its practical application.
- They will have experience interpreting and applying statutory requirements, preferably within an FOI environment, and managing FOI requests with a strong commitment to confidentiality, accuracy and compliance.
- The successful applicant will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise correspondence and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, together with a collaborative approach to working across teams, are essential.
- In addition, the successful applicant will have highly developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure, meet statutory deadlines and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
