Position overview
- Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Position
- Hours: 80 hours per fortnight with a monthly accrued day off (ADO)

- Location: Warrnambool Campus
- Classification: Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 4, Social Worker Grade 4, Occupational Therapist Grade 4 or Psychologist Grade 3
- Salary Range: 108,299 - $130,603 per annum (pro-rata), plus superannuation
About the role:
Join South West Healthcare's Referral Services Centralised Triage Team and play a pivotal role as the front door to our mental health service.
As a Senior Mental Health Clinician, you will complete timely triage screening assessments and support consumers to access the most appropriate care, providing warm, person centred referrals to community services when specialist mental health support is not required.
Working across a 24/7 roster, you will combine advanced clinical practice with leadership, providing supervision, mentoring and clinical guidance to colleagues while contributing to service improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape an innovative, responsive and recovery-focused service that makes a genuine difference in the lives of consumers and their families.
What You Bring
You are an experienced mental health clinician with excellent communication skills, sound clinical judgement and a passion for delivering compassionate, recovery-focused care. You thrive in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment and bring a strong understanding of mental health legislation, contemporary practice and trauma-informed care.
You will also have:
- A minimum of 5 years mental health experience (Registered Psychiatric Nurses and Psychologists) or 7 years experience (Social Workers and Occupational Therapists).
- Current AHPRA registration (Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Psychologists and Occupational Therapists) or eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) (Social Workers).
- A postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing (or completion of a specialist undergraduate Mental Health Nursing program) if applying as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse.
