Position Details
THE ROLE
The Director, Child Protection leads the Child Protection program across the Western Melbourne area. Working within the statutory framework, Child Protection provides child-centred, family-focused services to protect children and young people from significant harm caused by abuse or neglect within the family and aims to make sure that children and young people receive services to deal with the effect of abuse and neglect on their wellbeing and development.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Lead the delivery of Child Protection operations, strategic planning and performance reporting function for the Area ensuring an evidence base is available to support effective service responses that improve outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and their families.
- Ensure that program targets, performance objectives and statutory responsibilities are met.
- Analyse, compile and report on data performance and trends within Child Protection.
