About the role
As the Document Management Project Principal Practice Specialist, you will act as the primary legal practice subject matter expert, responsible for defining and validating the business practices, standards and processes required to support the successful implementation of the new DMS.
Operating within the Project team, you will leverage first-hand experience of current document management practices to ensure the solution meets the operational and business requirements of Victoria Legal Aid's (VLA) diverse legal practice areas and private practitioner network. You will provide specialist advice throughout the project to ensure the DMS supports sustainable and effective ways of working.
This role is flexible and can be based across Victoria.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Demonstrated operational knowledge of Victoria Legal Aid's LASO, document management, secure external document sharing.
- Proven track record in practice leadership and enabling change to new ways of working. Strong stakeholder networks and influence to drive and ensure long term operational sustainability.
- Experience supporting leadership and management through the change process. Demonstrated experience providing executive briefings and risk oversight.
- Sound judgement, discretion, and problem solving. Proven track record in driving new ways of working and embedding changes to people, process and technology with the ability to manage resistance to change, foster a continuous improvement, and ensure long term operational sustainability.
- Advanced experience in improving ways of working, from idea generation to ensuring adoption. Ability to influence and manage resistance to change and foster a continuous improvement.
- Comprehensive expertise in evaluating and balancing diverse stakeholder priorities, with and established track record of collaborating, negotiating, and partnering with specialists to represent core business needs and achieve outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to prepare structured, clear, and concise documents and authoritative briefings tailored for senior decision-makers.
