About the role
Reporting to the Project Manager, Summary Crime this role plays a key role in supporting strategic projects across the Summary Crime program. Working with the senior leadership in Summary Crime and Project Manager Summary Crime, the role supports project work across a range of strategic projects under the program. The role also supports the design, implement and evaluate the project documentation and deliverables including embedding client experience and leads work on specific phases of the project work with the support and guidance of the Project Manager, Associate Director or Director of the Summary Crime program.This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country or other location by agreement.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience using project management and change management skills to successfully design, implement and evaluate improvement projects and initiatives.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals across all levels of an organisation and negotiate and influence others to both deliver on project objectives and bring about positive change.
- An ability to understand and maintain contemporary knowledge of summary crime service delivery within VLA and across Victoria's criminal justice system, such as changes to bail and remand legislation.
- Demonstrated experience working with First Nations Australians, including an understanding of the cultural norms, communication styles and complex issues experienced by Australian First Nations peoples.
