• Part time (0.8 FTE) maximum term position up to 12 months
• Salary range: $104,925 - $122,409 plus super

About the roles
The Family, Youth and Children's Law (FYCL) directorate assists people to resolve their family disputes to achieve safe, workable and child-focused parenting and care arrangements. We also assist parents build their capacity to resolve disputes in non-adversarial ways. The FYCL Directorate is committed to providing culturally safe services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through building the program's cultural competency.

We have two project roles on offer in the FYCL directorate.

Firstly, the Senior Project Coordinator role. This role will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of Family, Youth and Children's Law (FYCL) projects. This includes monitoring, reporting and evaluation, internal and external stakeholder engagement, team supervision and leadership, and activities to promote continuous improvement through project learnings. Specifically, the role will focus on:

• the Community Legal Centre (CLC) Family Law Pilot
• Family Violence Advocacy project
• Property fee and guideline changes
• Providing leadership, mentoring and support to our team project coordinator(s)

Secondly, the Project Coordinator role. This role will support and coordinate family violence projects at VLA. In particular, this role will focus on coordinating the Pre-Court Engagement (PCE) Service Enhancements project, and supporting the Program Manager, Family Violence to finalise an analysis report on VLA's family violence grants fee table.

Both roles are based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country, however, requests to be based at a regional office will be considered.

About you
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

• A tertiary qualification in law, public policy, social work, project management or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in project management, including developing a plan and working within a project management framework, reporting, assessing resource needs, designing and implementing service change initiatives and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of family violence dynamics and the challenges impacting vulnerable Victorians when accessing the legal system and support services.

For the Senior Project Coordinator role

• Mentoring and supervising experience.
