IBAC is Victoria's anti-corruption agency responsible for preventing and exposing public sector corruption and police misconduct. We do this by:

  • investigating and exposing corruption and police misconduct
  • informing the public sector, police and the community about the risks and impacts of corruption and police misconduct, and ways in which it can be prevented.

Reporting to the Team Leader Investigations, the Senior Investigator is responsible for planning and implementing investigation strategies, including preparing and conducting interviews and taking a lead role in obtaining and executing search warrants. This will include the seizure of exhibits in accordance with procedures and legislation. You will also have the opportunity to use your highly developed communication skills when preparing and delivering comprehensive reports, briefs and other documentation to support IBAC investigations.

Ideally you will have extensive experience in conducting complex investigations, a proven demonstrated understanding of the Rules of Evidence and significant knowledge of the judicial or disciplinary processes required.

Your strong interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and strong conceptual and analytical skills will enable you to become quickly established in the role.

Formal qualifications and/or training in investigations, law enforcement or a related discipline is essential.
