IBAC is Victoria's anti-corruption agency responsible for preventing and exposing public sector corruption and police misconduct. We do this by:

  • investigating and exposing corruption and police misconduct
  • informing the public sector, police and the community about the risks and impacts of corruption and police misconduct, and ways in which it can be prevented.

Reporting to the Team Leader Investigations, Investigators are responsible for conducting investigations under limited guidance and supporting Senior Investigators in complex investigations as part of a multi-disciplinary team. This will include implementing investigative plans, building collaborative relationships with stakeholders and assisting in the preparation of written materials to support IBAC investigations. You will also have the opportunity to use your highly developed communication skills when preparing and delivering reports, briefs and other documentation to support investigations.

Ideally you will have significant experience in conducting investigations, preparing materials such as affidavits and applications for warrants and providing briefs of evidence for court proceedings.

Your strong problem solving and interpersonal skills, initiative and accountability will enable you to hit the ground running. Formal qualifications and/or training in investigations, law enforcement or a related discipline would be an advantage.

If you would like the opportunity to contribute your knowledge, skills and abilities to this role, please click on the 'Apply Now' button now.

Please note: Your application is a two-step online process. You cannot save partial applications to return to at a later time.

Please ensure you have prepared your Cover Letter, your Resume and your responses to the Key Selection Questions, before submitting your application (further details are available after pressing the 'apply' button).

Applications that do not address the Key Selection Questions will not be considered.
