The Rolling Stock Asset Engineer provides critical support in the successful application of asset management practices and whole-of-life condition monitoring for the Victorian train and tram rolling stock assets.

This role requires implementation of asset management strategy, the resolution of technical issues and reporting on each of asset performance against KPIs, project works content and implementation programs to ensure outcomes are achieved in line with departmental objectives.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Technical understanding of rolling stock asset management and maintenance together with demonstrated experience of bringing measurable results applicable to rail engineering projects or rolling stock overhaul programs.
  • Ability to implement the principles of ISO 55000 asset management standards to deliver practical and achievable outcomes in industrial heavy engineering maintenance and overhauls.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal acumen, with the ability to build and maintain strong and effective stakeholder relationships and, where necessary, to hold stakeholders and service providers to account in achieving agreed outcomes.
