Located in Melbourne CBD, IBAC is Victoria's independent anti-corruption agency responsible for preventing and exposing public sector corruption and police misconduct. We do this by: investigating serious corruption and police misconduct; and informing the public sector, police and the community about the risks and impacts of corruption and police misconduct, and ways in which it can be prevented. Our jurisdiction covers state and local government, police, parliament and the judiciary.

Your new role:

IBAC has an exciting opportunity for a proven IT practitioner and people manager to supervise a team of technical officers responsible for the collection of communications intelligence. In this role you will oversee the monitoring, maintenance and upgrade of specialist electronic collection systems and analytic platforms. You will be responsible for developing technical solutions for communications evolution.

Capabilities that lead to success in this role

  • In-depth understanding and experience across the breadth of information technology disciplines, to include: storage, networking, database administration, software development and network security principles.
  • Strong customer focus to support IBAC's investigative activities
  • Understanding of telecommunications, particularly interception, analysis and/or surveillance
  • Strong focus on team management including developing professional skills and knowledge of team members.
