Located in Melbourne CBD, IBAC is Victoria's independent anti-corruption agency responsible for preventing and exposing public sector corruption and police misconduct. We do this by: investigating serious corruption and police misconduct; and informing the public sector, police and the community about the risks and impacts of corruption and police misconduct, and ways in which it can be prevented. Our jurisdiction covers state and local government, police, parliament and the judiciary.

Your new role:

IBAC has an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our Investigations Team as a Senior Intelligence Analyst on a Full-time Permanent basis. Reporting to Manager Investigations, the role is designed to lead the development, planning and production of intelligence outputs and outcomes. The role will provide leadership and technical guidance to Intelligence Analysts within a multidisciplinary team environment to inform proactive or investigative lines of enquiry.

Capabilities that lead to success in this role

  • Experience in a tactical, operational intelligence and / or investigative environment
  • Positively influence and drive innovation and developments within the field of Intelligence
  • Contribute to Intelligence business planning and policy development to support business outcomes including evolving organisational priorities
  • Manage information collection and handling within guidelines and relevant legislation
  • Deliver advanced technical reports and verbal briefings to support operational, strategic and executive decision-makers
  • Initiate and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure products and services are timely, accurate, relevant and actionable
