Position Details

The role will be a key contact point between DELWP and state project proponents such as those delivering Victoria's Big Build in road, rail, tram infrastructure as well as arts, sporting and energy facilities, and has responsibility for guiding projects through the planning, impact assessment and other approval requirements. The position will support legislative and non-legislative improvements to planning, assessment and approval processes as part of the planning reform program.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working on planning and approvals processes, high level stakeholder engagement and management of complex projects in the public or private sectors is required.
  • Technical knowledge or industry experience of the Victorian planning system is required.
  • Proven leadership skills, including demonstrated capacity to provide policy advice, direction and information in a complex environment and set strategic direction.
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of complex projects, managing project teams and budgets in the public or private sectors is required.
  • Experience in the successful development and delivery of all aspects of major complex business reform programs particularly in a government context is desired.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable.

This is a fixed term position 31 December 2023.
