Project Officer

· Salary: $92,332 - $104,762 (Plus Superannuation)

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Project Officer, the Project Officer is responsible for working closely with the Senior Project Officer and Manager, TAFE Transition, to develop, implement, and deliver change programs to support the various frameworks that will drive delivery consistency across TAFE Reform.

The Project Officer is responsible for working with the Transition team, on the development of Change Management Plans to support the delivery of the implementation of specific TAFE Reform project delivery assurance, capability and governance frameworks, Project Portfolio Management systems, tools, processes, training, and other materials. The unit will work across the entire Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery to provide advice and guidance to leadership and project delivery teams.

 

The Team

The position of Project Officer forms a part of the Skills and Employment / Tafe Coordination and Delivery Team.

The Group Skills and Employment (SE) focuses on enabling Victorians to gain access to skills and employment opportunities and enabling a strong pipeline of workers to meet Victoria's skills needs, now and into the future.

The Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery (OTCD) plays a system leadership and management role for the TAFE Network across Victoria. The OTCD is primarily responsible for driving change in the way in which the Victorian TAFE Network provides training as a coordinated network and serves Victorian students, employers and communities and responds to Government priorities.

 

About You

This position works closely with Manager and Senior Project officer on the the translation of identified issues, risk and trends or implementation priorities to develop fit for purpose project plans and project oversight. To be successful in this role you will need to have experience in Project management roles and have an understanding on how to produce project plans where objectives are clearly defined. You will need effective communication skills both written and verbal to be able to adapt the content, style and messaging of your projects to suit stakeholders across the VPS.
